Goodbye Acne, Goodbye Pimples!

It's been a while since my last post and I have been dying to share a great product to all of you.

If I recall it correctly I started getting skin problems when I was around 16 or 17 and it always targeted my nose. And when it appears it's always horrible to look at. Big enough that the scars are still with me as of this writing. They are like acquaintances that come and go.

So while in my first year in college, they just visit me once in a while especially during my monthly period. During my final years in college, it became so severe and continued to be worse even after getting my first job. It was so depressing that my mom paid for a dermatological treatment in a first-class hospital. We billed more or less Php 15,000 for everything (procedure and medication) way back 2008. The result was so remarkable that I gained back the confidence in a short span of time that was lost over a couple of years.

Then it was short-lived again! I felt that it was an endless journey because of its tireless existence. It became a heavy burden to my overall being and has greatly affected my every day life. I often found no reason to look into the mirror, wear good clothes or remedy those impurities even for a moment (as I have tried all sorts from oral medication to creams).

Around September of last year, I came across a website that sells another stereotype products for pimples. Nonetheless, I bought and tried. I was hoping that it could give me a hope for a beautiful skin by December were all party photos start kicking in. Thus 2013 December parties were the happiest!!!

Please don't judge me upon seeing the photos below. My primary goal is to inspire people who experiences the same dilemma. Most people just don't know how embarrassing this can be that it can cause psychological distress.

I was not able to capture the date/time stamps of each picture due to some technical issues that it reset to the time I have uploaded of all these.
But I am very confident that I started monitoring its progress from last week of September 2013 after buying the product.

Ta-daaaahhh! Took this some time in January of this year (2014)!

It was never an overnight solution but it definitely worked! I am forever grateful to whoever made this wonderful product named KEVLO. It's a local brand and they are based somewhere in Visayas. I highly recommend their Facial Starter Set. I have a small face and it lasted for three long months. I spent Php 950 excluding shipping fee. Compared to other products, there is very minimal flaking. You may want to add Acne Cream to your set as it really heals bumps fast!

I grabbed one photo from their album. Credits to Kevlo Shop.

Definitely worth every cent. Please visit their site at https://www.facebook.com/KevloProducts for more detail.

I can relate about the psychological effects of pimples. Last quarter of last year, I suffered a major pimple attack that made my self confidence dropped to zero. Relatives and friends I happened to bumped into would ask me what happened to my face. And worst, my nephews no longer want to kiss me because of my weird face. LOL! It was so disappointing hence I went to a dermatologist. So far I am getting good results but I am still on my medication. I seriously hope that pimples will not return once medication is over.

Anyway, I love that this product works for you. Thanks for sharing! At least I will have an option to consider when derma advice is no longer working for me.

@Ces - Iloilo: I have had over a dozen of dermatologists before. It works for a while but failure to buy their maintenance set (which are way too pricey with so many products to put on) just makes everything worse for me. I still break out from time to time just like now because I was sun-kissed from a vacation plus an upcoming period. :)

@Maita: My pleasure!

Ang galing. Buti na lang you stuck to the routine. Yung nagpa-clear ng face ko before is a similar set of products. Tapos I looked for cheaper alternatives at the drugstore for maintenance. Like yung SOS clindamycin phosphate sa mercury, and kapag super lala, yung maxi-peel which is basically the same as the clarifying toner (tretinoin and hydroquinone) lang pala yung active ingredients nung toner. Basta yung super low concentration lang ang gamit ko and I stay out of the sun.

I would love to stop by. But, I think it might have to wait until this summer. I did not know that Serlkay had ever expanded its size. I must say that a succesful family owned business in this day and age is a very refreshing sight! As well as this is a very refreshing site!

I am no longer using it now but I always recommend it to people who have bad acne/pimple breakout because it really works!

why did you stop using it?

Unknown said...

@roseline: I find putting too many creams and astringents tiring. Since my face has cleared up already, I only use soap, toner and a cream to exfoliate (used 2x a week) dead skin.

Hi anonymous! Me too. I've been using kevlo facial starter set sincce April 5 so 2 months na exactly today (june 5). My skin only got lighter but the Acne are still very present. My acne got worse and ang lalaki pa. :( I was taking pictures of my skin from time to time para makita ko kung may improvement. I'm actually starting to get frustrated :( If by the end of the month hindi parin magdadryout yung acne ko, I will stop using it. Maybe hindi talaga ito for me. :(
